Day 1: Discover the village and its heritage
Start your day with a stroll through the cobbled streets of this village, listed as one of the ‘Most Beautiful Villages in France’. Admire the famous star suspended between the rocks and stop off at the earthenware workshops to discover this skill handed down since the XVIIᵉ century. The Musée de la faïence will help you understand the history of this ancestral art.
Don’t miss the Romanesque-style parish church of Notre-Dame de l’Assomption. After lunch in a village restaurant, climb up to the Chapelle Notre-Dame de Beauvoir: the view over the village rooftops and the valley is spectacular! For a truly natural experience, take the time to follow the Tréguier botanical trail, a pleasant walk through Provençal flora and panoramic views over the valley.
Relaxation and local flavours
Extend the experience by stopping off at one of the village restaurants to sample seasonal Provençal cuisine. To take home a tasty souvenir, visit the craftsmen and producers who sell honey, jams, olive oil and Verdon biscuits.

The next day, head for Lac de Sainte-Croix, just a few kilometres away, for a kayak, paddle or electric boat trip on its turquoise waters and through the Gorges du Verdon. After this immersion in nature, get back in the car to take the Route des Crêtes in the afternoon. This 23km panoramic loop overlooks the canyon. From viewpoint to viewpoint, you can admire the Gorges from the heights, with breathtaking photo stops. The perfect way to end your weekend on a breathtaking note!
Cycling and mountain biking enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy on the many marked trails around Moustiers. In early July, set off to explore the Valensole Plateau and its lavender fields.
