Estello Festival #2!

A day of celebrations with plenty of activities for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest: demonstrations and taster sessions in a friendly atmosphere!

On the programme for your festive day:

* An all-female street parade to the sounds of Brazil

=> with the BATUCADA TIMBAWA from Brunet

=> where? => in the heart of the historic centre

=> times? => 2 parades in the morning and 2 in the afternoon:

* 10.00–10.45: from Les Magnans to the Faience Museum

* 11.30 am–12.15 pm: from Rue de la Bourgade to Place de l’Eglise

* 2.30 pm–3.15 pm: from Place du Presbytère to Place Clérissy, Rue du Courtil and Place du Couvert

* 5.00–5.45 pm: from Place du Couvert to Rue de la Bourgade

and an introductory workshop on the art of percussion, open to all:

* 3.30–4.30 pm: introductory percussion workshop on Place de l’Eglise

* Introductory workshops on oil pastel techniques:

* Workshop: “Music in all its forms”:

=> led by SEBASTIEN CARRETIER, music teacher in Moustiers-Ste-Marie

An introduction to music in all its forms – educational and fun for the whole family!

=> where? => PLACE CLÉRISSY

=> times? => 10am–12pm / 2pm–4pm

In detail:

–> 10am–11am: Making instruments from recycled materials: design and make your own unique instrument (maracas, kazoos, castanets or other percussion instruments…) with help from Sébastien, decorate it and give it a go to impress your parents!

–> 11am–12pm: Making music using everyday objects – and more! Using:

• The instruments made on the spot,

• Used saucepans of various sizes, struck with a pair of drumsticks.

• Various PVC pipes, of varying widths, struck at their tops with a

table tennis bat,

• Metal barrels (such as ‘Bronx drums’)

Learn to master various playing techniques on these percussion instruments and use them to

express your creativity, composing your own pieces.

–> 2pm–3pm: ‘Blow!’: A journey into the world of wind instruments: children and adults can discover, try out and learn the basic techniques for playing instruments such as the saxophone, clarinet, recorder, …

–> 3pm–4pm: Music quiz!

Discover a variety of musical genres through an engaging experience.

Are you ready to take on the challenge of this music tournament?

A game for two players, or two teams.

The squares on the chequered board laid out on the square’s floor will be used as zones for face-down cards, the backs of which will feature: images of famous artists, musical instruments, and a variety of questions on different musical genres, …

The participant who answers the most questions will be declared the winner!

* Face-painting workshop and mini circus school

=> run by LES DÉJANTÉES DU PINCEAU from Saint-Michel l'Observatoire

Your costumed face-painter will whisk you away into her retro world, where her character comes and goes, interacts with the audience, then settles the lucky chosen one in for a moment suspended in time and transforms their faces with a burst of colour!

Not to mention the circus workshop where you can juggle, walk on stilts, learn to clown around and enjoy other surprises…!
