Songs, a concert, the story of our vices…
‘The 8 Sins’ takes on clichés and plays with them during a poetically (in)correct concert. A singer with a sly wit and a wordsmith, Florentin Fouch highlights our most human contradictions by dusting off the deadly sins. But what is the 8th one?
On stage, Florentin Fouch accompanies himself on keyboards and is joined by his two sidekicks: Florent Estienne, a drummer and percussionist with a thousand ingenious ideas, and Simon Depyx, an electric guitarist with an inventive style. Together, they give a groovy beat to Florentin’s songs, which then venture into hip-hop interludes and improvisations. The audience becomes an accomplice and, at times, a prompt for verses…
At the centre, a large notebook sets the tone, weaving between calligrams and wordplay. Words flow from the page to the voice, and from the voice to the rhythm.
A female presence (played by the clown Clémentine Longuet) disrupts the emerging balance, giving voice to the sins that are recounted and questioning the balance of power.
