Our history

Founded in the 5th century by monks from Lérins, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie grew up around its Romanesque church and the Adou torrent, whose waters have long powered mills and workshops. Famous for its earthenware since the 17th century, the village combines heritage, know-how and nature. Nestling between cliffs and lavender fields, it is an ideal gateway to the Gorges du Verdon and Lake Sainte-Croix.
