Detailed description
In the heart of the village, Marie-Ange respects the tradition of Provençal biscuit-making by producing ‘croquants’ (a semi-elliptical hard biscuit containing whole almonds) and various types of ‘navettes’ (biscuits shaped like a small boat). However, their real speciality is a star-shaped biscuit, in honour of Moustiers’s own star. It is made out of lavender honey (local, of course) and has a taste that is second to none.
Over the years, Marie-Ange’s creative inventive spirit has enabled her to extend her biscuit range to include, not only other sweet biscuits made from local ingredients, but also a range of savoury aperitif biscuits to tantalise the taste buds… even nicer when sampled with a glass of pastis!
Les Biscuits de Moustiers are on sale in shops throughout the region as well as at Moustiers and Riez market.
