Located in the heart of the village, inthe former mansion of the Seigneur de Berthet de la Clue, the museum now houses more than 500 pieces and takes you on a true journey through time.

The history of Moustiers earthenware began in the 17th century and has been an integral part of the village’s golden age ever since. As visitors make their way through the museum’s galleries, the collections trace its evolution, from antique pieces to contemporary creations. Works by the great families of earthenware makers are displayed alongside classic designs, rarer pieces, and modern creations that attest to the enduring vitality of this artisan craft. For those interested in learning more, the Moustiers Earthenware Museum also offers guided tours. From early April through late October, a guide will lead you on a tour every morning at 9:30 a.m., except on Tuesdays and Sundays, for a tour lasting about one hour. From the history of earthenware to manufacturing techniques and the evolution of decorative styles, this tour provides a deeper understanding of the pieces on display and offers a fresh perspective on this iconic heritage of Moustiers. Self-guided tours are, of course, available for those who prefer to explore the collections at their own pace.
