Every Tuesday morning, let us guide you through the historic centre of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie. On a guided walk, discover the village’s origins, its monastic influence, its fountains, its vaulted passageways and its stone houses bathed in Provençal light.
Your guide will also share the many stories that make up the rich heritage of Moustiers: the legends surrounding the famous star suspended between the cliffs, the daily lives of the villagers of yesteryear, and the history of earthenware, the village’s true emblem.

What if you were to meet the man who helped save Moustiers pottery?
Head back to the 1920s for an immersive tour in the company of Marcel Provence, a key figure in local history. Through a lively and humorous presentation, this iconic character tells you about his commitment to the revival of earthenware and the preservation of Moustiers’ heritage.
Combining history and anecdotes, this unique tour will appeal to adults and families alike.

Immerse yourself in the world of earthenware
No visit to Moustiers-Sainte-Marie would be complete without discovering the village’s earthenware, which has been a true symbol of the village since the 17th century. To gain an insight into this exceptional craftsmanship, the Earthenware Museum invites you to explore its history and the secrets of its production.

Housed in a former 15th-century mansion, the Moustiers Earthenware Museum traces more than three centuries of history through a remarkable collection of antique and contemporary pieces. During guided tours, a guide will accompany you for an hour to introduce you to the key milestones in the history of Moustiers earthenware, iconic designs such as the Grand Salon Bleu, the Salle Rose and the famous grotesques, as well as the techniques that have brought this craft worldwide renown.
