From 4 September to 2 November 2026, discover unique pieces by the potters and ceramicists of Terres de Provence as part of the ‘Objets désuets’ exhibition and sale at the Galerie de l’Ancien Presbytère
OBJECTS AND TRADITIONS: WHAT WILL TOMORROW BRING?
Discover the work of 18 potters and ceramicists, craftspeople and artists, who are applying their expertise to the theme of forgotten uses and the emotional significance of so-called ‘obsolete’ objects. Revisiting, transforming, renewing and metamorphosing old forms… These artists explore the concepts of relics, memory and consumption, whilst questioning the place of ceramics within the cycle of object renewal.
Located in the heart of the old village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, in the gallery of the Ancien Presbytère, the exhibition inevitably echoes the decorated earthenware pieces produced in this village, which epitomise its identity. Through anachronism or reinterpretation, it is contemporary creation that engages in dialogue with history.
