Detailed description
Driven by the desire to breathe new life into the oldest repertoire in the West, Jean Delobel draws on the oldest Gregorian manuscripts and the oral traditions that are still alive to restore the full richness of Gregorian chant.
His practice follows in the footsteps of Damien Poisblaud, with whom he sings regularly with the Chantres du Thoronet.
This programme focuses on the five major feasts that punctuate the liturgical year: Christmas,
Easter, Ascension, Pentecost and Assumption.
An invitation to enter into the mystery of Christ through the sober and profound beauty of these age-old songs.
