Traditional Provençal Market at Moustiers-Sainte-Marie

Provence’s market… there is something great about all the stalls that surround us. Olives, thym, rosmary, goat cheese… different sents spread in the air to reach your sense of smell. But when the end of your stay arrives, you may feel melancholic and whish you could bring with you Provence’s sents…

You can ! In Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, every Friday morning, the market takes place on the City Hall Square. All trhough the season, other markets come to our village. In season vegetables from the Verdon are presented on the stalls, like a firework of colors and taste. Several producers can make you discover good and tasty goat cheeses, olive oils, almond biscuits… If you want to bring back a souvenir with you, craftmen are also present with home-made nives and potteries. You can then reach the center of our village to appreciate the finest ceramic made by our villagers for centuries : faïence.
