Detailed description
Diabloson is a melting pot of South American and Caribbean musicians. Their music has its roots in traditional music, culminating in a festive, musically colourful salsa!
On the programme: a journey to Cuba, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Venezuela and New York...
The musicians in this big band will share their "caliente" spirit with you, making even the most reluctant dancers tremble.
More than a dance, more than a rhythm, more than a musical genre, it's a movement, a feeling... a way of expressing adversity through joy... a way of walking... the result of centuries of ethnic and cultural mixing...
Diabloson is a return to the depths of the earth, to the roots of salsa...
After a string of typically South American festivals, the group is now increasingly in demand from organisers of salsa, jazz and world music festivals, with over 1,000 performances to its credit.
Diabloson's track "Africa" was nominated for a Grammy award in 2007.
Since its formation, the group has crossed paths with many internationally renowned musicians, including percussionists Luisito Quintero and Robert Quintero (New York), Santana, Tito Puente and Richard Bona, as well as legendary bands such as The Rolling Stones and Earth Wind & Fire.
Diabloson has shared the stage with some fine collaborators: Chucho Valdes, La Sonora Carruseles, Orlando Maraca Valle, Septeto Nacional de cuba, Orlando Poleo, ...
