Detailed description

The name Campagnoli means "Men of the earth".

The group I Campagnoli was formed in 1989. In 1997, I Campagnoli took part in a national polyphonic singing competition. The patron was Diane Tell. The following year, they produced their second album: "Canti suminati". It proved a big hit with the public and their tour was a resounding success.
In 2002, a new album of polyphonic songs was released: "Versi di vita". It was also a time of travel: Switzerland, Guyana, the continent, the Var, Plan d'Aups, Bourges. Every concert in the cathedral is a highlight for everyone.
And in 2018, I Campagnoli enjoyed a great friendship with Pascal Obispo. He fell in love with their songs and invited them to perform an anthology duet of "Millésime" in both languages (Corsican and French). The duet took place on the set of France 2, during the Téléthon, which Pascal Obispo was sponsoring.

Who are the members of the group?
Thanks to Isabelle Giannelli, the music takes centre stage. Isabelle does not sing, but plays the violin, bringing, according to Guy Calvelli (lead singer), the touch of sensitivity that his group lacked, which enriches the polyphony. Isabelle, who has a classical training, is also a member of the women's group Elixir, which is well known in Corsica.
Louis Crispi is a talented young man who has already made a name for himself on the island. He and his partner, Alexis Vitello, are full of drive, enthusiasm and a desire to learn.
They form the link between the generations that is essential to the evolution and longevity of a group.
As for Guy Calvelli, he provides the unmistakeable lead vocals, as well as directing the rehearsals for I Campagnoli's rich repertoire.

Their passion for singing, friendship and the Corsican language is what binds them together.
The desire to pass it on in humility is what unites them.
This ardent patience is the sign of the most demanding art".
Marie Ferranti, Les Maîtres de chant, Editions Gallimard.
