Detailed description
"Whoever you are, wherever you come from, The Yellbows get your head moving and your feet tingling... And vice versa!
The Yellbows, a quartet of original compositions with a southern American flavour.
Stephan Notari, singer, drummer, percussionist and guitarist, is well known in the blues music world for his work with Mathis Haug, as well as for his collaborations with JJ Milteau, Raphaël Lemonnier and Pura Fe. He created this group to give his compositions the colour he is looking for, a blend of American cultures.
For this project, he is surrounded by Matthieu Maigre on trombone, who has played in New Orleans with Kirk Joseph and his Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Alexis Borrely on bassophone and Thibaud Roussel on tenor banjo, the famous rhythmic duet that forms the backbone of many combos on the new New Orleans jazz scene.
The music is inspired by blues, folk and jazz, and is crazy, joyful, funky and rock'n'roll all at the same time...
Stéphan tells us about life, love and the never-ending quest for the other, all with a good dose of humour and a sense of humour...
He skilfully blends the roots of traditional American music with a subtle rock'n'roll touch, drawn from his own experience and diverse influences.
Rock'n'roll energy and brass band sound: The Yellbows!
